Messed Up Nature Poem - Part 1

Joseph Harrington

His great height subjected him to the heavenly rays:
they said Put the purple tags on top.
Everybody stood around
waiting to ascend through the skylight
since the skylight creates the space
around that desire. That blue patch
by the lake: person?
or thing?         They said
You’re supposed to be so absorbed
by living, you don’t remember anything
afterwards
