Shanna Compton

Ink the usage
then corrupt it happily
with the tenderest sin.

Abide the constant interruption,
to advance like oil
glistening like a crushable satin.

Frock this wearer in a scatterbrained corset
and foam like an aggrieved nongrata.

This crazy exception
made only for one—
for you—debilitator of propriety.

My intrepid bandmate,
you grandest dibbler, how
I admire your trove of carefree whatnots.
