parts unknown

rob mclennan

we don’t have to say it.
we don’t have to say anything.

what Henry Hudson said he knew,
& Christopher Columbus never talked about at parties,

& what even the Vikings feared.

there is nothing else.
there is nothing more.

I go to bed for some reason
& wake up for another.

it is lonely here
in this strange other country.

Odysseus, come home; whichever one of us
that is.
